Today, “the need to make health systems sustainable by making them more effective, accessible and resilient has been duly recognized by policy-makers at the national and international levels” and soon, policy actions will be needed to ensure long-term population health and care systems given the setbacks caused by the Covid 19 pandemic.
Healthcare systems aim to meet populations’ health needs by providing services to satisfy the people’s right to health. They help to preserve and restore good health, and enable people to live independently by providing social care services, to the extent feasible.
There are several types of healthcare systems worldwide, but they are all facing radical changes and common challenges.

We invite doctors to join us They can belong to any of the following categories:
- Medical graduates (MBBS) who can work as General and family care practitioners. Effort is to appoint a primary care doctor to each patient to maintain affordable care for a sustained period of time. This first level care will ensure that the patient gets a holistic approach to his health
- Specialists
- Medical Students and Interns (They enter patients history interact with patients to gain real life clinical experience)
- Health workers from other pathies/Remote family practitioners who can refer patients and learn how to manage their own patients
- At all times a health assistant from VirtualSathi for hand holding support.
We also have a team of Family Physicians and General Practitioners. Some of them are MBBS graduates from one of the AIIMS. Rest of them are MBBS graduates from different medical colleges from India and abroad.
One option for you is to go through a Family Physician or a General Practitioner (Both categories called Junior Doctor here after) to a Specialist of your choice on VirtualSathi panel of specialist. The advantage of this option is that a comprehensive summary of your case would be prepared by a Junior Doctor of your choice.
The other option is to go directly to a Specialist of your choice on VirtualSathi panel of specialist. The advantage of this option is that if you already a good summary from your own doctor then you do not have to use the services of Junior Doctor on the VirtualSathi platform.
The process is the same for first or secod opinion. It is possible that you can take both first and second opinion from our platform. The advantage of this option is that the first and second doctor will have no hesitation to discuss your case mutually at no extra cost to you.
It is also possible that you obtain the first opinion from elsewhere and then come to us. The advantage of this option is that you continue to work with your first doctor, and take only the second opinion from us as an input for the first doctor. The disadvantage of this option is the first doctor may not like to look at the second opinion from a doctor not known to him.
